Thule EasyFold 3
The New Thule EasyFold 3 is a flexible bike carrier that accommodates a wide range of bike styles, including e-bikes.
It folds up for storage/handling, and comes in both a 2 and 3-bike version, to which an extra bike adapter can be added (so the 2-bike version can carry 3 bikes, and the 3-bike version can carry 4 bikes).
There are several new features, such as the new straps to hold the bikes, which solve the issues with the older ‘claw’ system which was sub-optimal for some of the newer bike frame shapes. There is also more space between the bikes, longer wheels straps/buckles, and a wider wheel-base tolerance as some bikes have wider wheel-bases now than 5-10 years ago, particularly e-bikes.
Compatible with several storage box options: the hard-shell ‘Santu’ box and the collapsible ‘Onto 2’ box (the latter is similar to the backup box that used to fit onto the VeloSpace carriers). You can even take a box and one bike, but that requires the 3-bike version with the 4th bike adapter and an additional ‘arm’ to hold the bike to the A-Frame (the latter is required because there would be no other bikes to clip onto as you would normally do with the extra bike adapter).
Optional accessories available include:
A neat cable lock, to reduce faff-time - particularly useful when your hands are too cold to fiddle with keys and locks.
